[PREVIOUSLY]

"You haven't seen anything yet." Daniel replied softly.

[CONTINUED]

The two approached the door, until the clay figures began to move simultaneously, making a slight thud as they stepped forward. The eyes of the clay figures began to glow as they spoke in unison. "State... your- Oh." The red glow quickly changed to a soft green.

"It's Daniel..." One of them said.

"I can see that, Grum." The other replied in the same voice.

"I know you can see that, Murg. He's standing right there." Grum seemed to gesture to Daniel before giving a slight wave. "Hello, Daniel."

"Hey guys." Daniel replied with a smile.

"Look, Grum... He brought a friend." Murg said, gesturing to Meghan.

"I can see that, Murg. She's standing right there." Grum pointed to her before giving her a wave. "Hello, Daniel's friend."

Meghan giggled and waved back. "Hi. Please call me Meghan." She wasn't sure if she should really be giggling, but they were both too cute and she couldn't help herself.

"Hello, Meghan." Murg said, waving at her. "I'm Murg and this is my brother Grum."

"Hello, Meghan." Grum replied, smiling at her.

"They’re Golems. Think of them like bouncers for the club." Daniel said, looking back to Meghan, as he continued. "They keep the unwelcomed from passing the threshold. Of course, all are welcomed inside, until they do something that warrants banishing. From there, Murg and Grum, keep them out."

Murg nodded firmly. "We keep the peace."

Grum nodded quickly afterwards. "That's what we do." He soon stopped, crossing his arms over his chest. "What's with the funny looking clothes, Daniel?"

"Yeah." Murg said, crossing his arms in the same way. "What's with the funny looking clothes?"

"I just asked that, Murg." Grum seemed to add quickly, looking to his brother.

"I know, Grum. I'm curious too." Murg replied, as both of them returned to looking to Meghan and Daniel.

Daniel laughed softly, looking to Meghan, before looking back to the brothers. "They’re our uniforms. We just left the Academy. We decided to relax so we came here."

"Oh... those are their uniforms, Murg?"

"I heard him, Grum." Murg replied with a nod. "Oh... well... don't worry. We won't let anyone bother you guys."

"No, we won’t." Grum replied with his own firm nod.

Meghan smiled at them both. "Thank you. I feel safer already." Although she already felt safe with Daniel. But she didn't want to hurt their feelings.

"I can always count on your guys." Daniel replied with a smile.

"Yes, you can." Grum replied.

Murg nodded before turning to double doors. Grum did the same, taking a position on the other side. Both Golems reach down, grabbing a hold of each handle, before pulling the doors open revealing a massive room.

"Welcome to the Elysium Club." Daniel said softly, looking to Meghan, squeezing her hand gently.

She smiled at him, perhaps a bit longer than decorum dictated. "Thank you," she said, squeezing his hand back.

The doors of the holodeck opened and a curious Emma walked in. "Oh sorry..." she said quickly. "I didn't realize this holodeck was in use!"

Daniel turned around, hearing the voice behind them. He was about to respond angerly, but then he remembered he wasn't sure if he had locked the holodeck doors to begin with. This private escape could just have been ruined by him forgetting to lock everyone else out.

"What the... dammit." He said in a slightly irritated tone before letting out a sigh. "I must have forgotten to lock the holodeck doors. Sorry." Daniel looked over to Meghan before focusing back on Emma. "Do you normally wonder into holodeck programs before checking or is this a first-time thing?"

Emma sighed. "Well, not usually no. But there was no indication the holodeck was in use... also..." she paused as she blushed red. "The doors weren't locked. I'm sorry"

"No indication the holodeck was in use?!?!" Daniel raised his brows and then began to gesture around the area. The program was clearly running and the distance they walked to get here was still something to consider. He then gestured to the two golems who stood by the entrance to the club, who simply waved to Emma.

"Helllloooo." Grum said with an odd smile. "We're making a lot of friends today, Murg."

"We certainly are, Grum." Murg replied, smiling also, before adding. "Some very small friends."

TAG EMMA

Shafin had noticed the peculiar looking girl in the corridor and had followed them for his own amusement, but when Emma had entered the holodeck, Shafin continued to observe them. There is an unnecessary amount of colour and vibrancy here he thought as he appeared behind Emma. "Just because the doors were unlocked, does not mean that you should enter" lectured the beanstalk.

"I have made that mistake at the academy," Shafin said his brow furrowing. "An unpleasant experience, I can assure you." He looked at Daniel. "I did not mean to impose upon you nor intrude, this one I have no excuse for."

Meghan held tightly to Daniel's hand and stepped closer to him, partly to lend support and partly because she was sad that his surprise had been spoiled and she wanted to somehow let him know she was still there with him, however this turned out.

Daniel threw his hands up and groaned. "And now Mister Happy has joined us. So much for privacy." He looked to Meghan and took a deep breath before letting out a deep and slightly frustrated sigh. "Computer... " He let out in a shout before continuing in a much calmer tone. "Lock the holodeck doors to prevent further... intruders."

The computer let out a confirming tone before replying. "Access to the Holodeck is now restricted."

"Thank you." Daniel looked at the two who just approached and said. "Welcome to my personal program. Don't break anything. I've had this for a long time. It means a lot. Got it?"

Shafin would not give the others the delight of gearing his audibly sigh, but the steel-eyed look he gave Daniel should have been enough of a refresher that Shafin was not entirely Vulcan, if his name was not enough of an indication. "That," he said glaring at Emma "Is your intruder. I merely followed her here. A mistake I will not repeat again mind you."

The Vulcanoid looked at Emma. "We should leave, and you should learn about privacy. Evidently, we have walked in on the prelude to a mating rituals."

"Mating Ritual..." Emma questioned. "Wait!" she began to blush even more as she froze. "Does that mean you two were going to use the holodeck to have..."

"No," Meghan said sharply, her face turning bright red. "Daniel was showing me a program and he hasn't expressed any interest in..." If it were possible, she blushed harder. She'd really been looking forward to spending some time alone with Daniel and getting to know him--without a Greek Chorus. "We were just looking for somewhere private..." She groaned and hid her face against Daniel's shoulder. "I'm not helping, am I?" she whispered.

Daniel squeezed her hand a bit before quickly adding. "This is not a... mating ritual."

"Murg? What's a Mating Ritual?" Grum asked, looking over to his brother.

"I'll tell you when you’re older, Grum." Murg responded.

"But... we're twins." Grum countered, confused.

"I was made first... you were made second. Therefore, I am older."

"I thought I was made first and you were made second?"

There was a silence between the two before Murg finally answered. "To be honest... I forgot. I'm sorry, Grum."

"I know, Murg." Grum replied as he placed his hand on his brother’s shoulder. "You can be the older brother."

"Thank you, Murg. You're the best little brother ever." Murg said.

"I know."

Daniel ran his hands through his hair, brushing it back slightly, before, looking back to Emma and Shafin. "Look... this is not a date. This is not a prelude to anything! It's just a simple escape. You two want to join us... fine... you're here. Whatever. This is still my program and it was setup in a special way and you three are new here so there is a lot to learn. You want to stick around... keep your mouths shut and stay on your best behavior."
